At Oahu Dental Care, we want to provide you with the best information possible. Before you schedule your appointment, make sure to look over our frequently asked questions where you'll find answers to our most commonly asked questions regarding insurance and billing, cancellation policies and more. Office Policies:

Do you accept dental insurance?  
Oahu Dental Care participates with majority of dental insurances. Dr. Dayton Q.L Lum is a participating provider with the following companies: HDS, HMSA, HMAA, All Delta Dental, Met Life,  and United Concordia.
If your dental insurance is not listed above… Don’t worry!
As a service to our patients we will submit claims to non participating insurance companies in addition to the companies listed above.

Are you a QUEST or HMO Provider?
Do you submit claims to QUEST or HMO dental plans? 
At this time our office does not participate with QUEST or HMO nor do we submit claims to those dental plans.
What are your payment policies? 
At Oahu Dental Care, your estimated co-payments are due at the time of treatment. We accept cash, checks, most major credit cards and Care Credit as a financing option

What is your cancellation policy? 
Our time spent with each patient is important. Reserved time for treatment with each patient assures good quality care. We require that you give us 24 hrs+ notice for cancellations. Cancellation within the 24 hr period will be charged a minimum fee of $75.00.  For Appointments that are 2 hours or longer, a $75.00 per hour charge will be applied.

Do you treat children? 
When should a child have his or her first dental appointment? Can our whole family be treated at your office?

Oahu Dental Care is a general family practice that accepts patients from a wide range of age and ethnicity. We accept patients as early as age 1.

It is recommended for an oral health visit as soon as the baby's first tooth erupts.
What type of services do you provide?

Our team at Oahu Dental Care strives to improve the overall health of our patients by focusing on preventing, diagnosing and treating conditions associated with your teeth and gums.  

Dr. Dayton Q.L Lum continually educates himself in all aspects of general dentistry and family care to provide patients with wide range of dental treatment in one office.
